GT-S vs GT-R

I do in fact use race mode almost exclusively. I would say the only time I don't have it in Race mode is when I am distracted and don't move it to Race mode and then when I get to a stop light and the engine does the stop/start thing I switch to race mode. What possible reason would I have to lie about that? And why would that be so hard for you to buy there darling?

I keep it in Race mode most of the time, unless I'm cruising down the highway and not anticipating high speeds, or if I'm on a particularly crappy road.

Unless there evidence it would damage the car it is mostly a matter of convenience to be honest. I just click it back a few times and it is in race mode. I the stop start thing at traffic lights. I don't want the gerbils in the starter motor getting worn out or going on strike. I like the manual gear changing. I don't do it in stop and go traffic. TBH I drive my motorcycle most of the time and when my truck gets here I'll use it more. Not sure if you guys have noticed but the AMG GT cars are not great for moving lumber, sheetrock anything bigger than a bread box

Thanks for asking! I am loving it. It it is exactly what the doctor ordered after tolerating California for so many years. I stayed there because I love my job and the company I work for but when we went fully work from home I decided to get out of there. I bought the house in Coral Gables and it is great to actually see my tax money being used wisely. I was shocked the first time I called a city department and they were pleasant, helpful and did what they said they would do. I got a message from my old neighbor in CA last week. The area where I lived in high risk for forest fires and during the extreme heat they had they lost power multiple times. So glad I am out of there.

Good to hear that!
Coincidence but this last Weekend I purchased a property in Central Florida. Building a new home on it and will be done sometime in 2023. Arizona isn't bad (as bad as CA), but I am looking forward to the Fla experience with all you MB members!
PS: Will be in London in 4 weeks. I still have your Sunday Roast restaurant on the schedule.
All the Best,

Misread that initially. It is not my experience that it winds out around town in race mode. I'll check it when I go out tomorrow but I did it in California when I lived there and here now in Florida and I have never noticed it banging up against 5K could be wrong seems civil to me.

You must be moving close to where I live in the Sarasota/Bradenton area. If so, you will be pleased with the car enthusiast community here.

I live directly adjacent to Lakewood Ranch and have been here for over 25 years. You won't be disappointed, best way to start is to attend one of the Café Racers lunches.

So I was able to go on a short drive yesterday and in the slower areas <35 mph that I drove the car in race mode + automatic and it was changing up to 3rd gear at around 2800-3000 RPM and on the longer stretches of slower roads it changed through the gears normally (no high revs)
Not sure if it matters but I have the Renntech HHT.
