2016 AMG GTS

GTC vs GTS Turbo's

Hi all,

i have two new turbo's from a 2018 GTC. Can i simply swap out the two factory turbo's on my 2016 GTS? Would this give me more power and would i need to somehow get my ECU re-programmed? If so who would do the re-programming? I did buy the OE Tuning program however found that there is jerking going on when accelerating from 1st gear. I am not sure if that's the programming and i should contact Jeremy at OE Tuning regarding this issue. The car does not do the jerking when the factory tune is loaded.

Yes you can put GTC turbo on GTS. Also GTC turbos are very slightly bigger than GTS(GTC and GTR turbo are same). ECU recalibration is not mandatory but recommended.(The waste gate spec are different). BTW since you are already getting to the point doing turbos why not considering bigger turbos?(Send those two GTC turbos out for hybrid it)

I see you are in Toronto so am I, well really have a place in Mississauga and live in Haliburton. I appreciate your response as no one else did....
One question....you said "(Send those two GTC turbos out for hybrid it)......what do you mean? I am not understanding....at my age I guess it's a good thing I still know my address! LOL....
BTW, if you need any parts for your car let me know as i bought a bunch of them hoping to buy a damaged GT and fix it up. I haven't seen anything of interest at Copart in Ontario and don't think there will ever be many...
