AMG GTR vs BS engine differences?

I don't know what all the minute differences are, but it must have larger turbos to make the additional power. Cooling is also very different. The BS has a diagonally mounted radiator from the GT3/GT4 cars and the rest of the powertrain is upgraded, too. Transmission is beefed up and the cooling in general is upgraded. The auxiliary systems such as ESP are also adapted. Don't know what they charge for each engine, but I'd say if you go down this route you might be better off getting a BS. Just swapping out the engine isn't gonna be the end of it.

Having been to the factory and seeing these engines being built, I know that all the variants use different pistons. The main mechanical differences between the different versions of the M177/178 are the turbos and pistons. The blocks are the same. The BS obviously has the flat crank and not sure what else had to be changed in order to accommodate it.
