Acceleration Wheel Sensor Unavailable

My car needs an acceleration sensor for the front Left wheel. Mercedes Dealer cannot source one locally/nationally. Dealer attempted to purchase from MB HQ. HQ does not have any. It has escalated to the point where Mercedes now have to manufacture more sensors...so I can get one. Seems kinda unbelievable, but it is what it is. I have not been given a timeframe.

My question is, has something similar happened to anyone else and how long did it take to resolve? Annoyed cause one of the America's largest vintage racing events is occurring in my city with one of the largest car shows...next week

This all transpired from this warning:

the gray market guys have you covered. MB dealerships have their own internal parts supply and they can't get parts off the internet like this

I have emailed them along with 6 other similar online parts resellers. No one seems to have stock and they have confirmed its on national backorder with no ETA.

Well it looks like my SA ended up finding a part from other dealership! Hopefully no one else will need this sensor anytime soon...
