What does an earthquake have to do with man made pollution?

Also, the climate change consensus is purely manufactured by scientists going where the funding is. It's as if nobody learned the lessons of COVID's "consensus". I'm sure you think wind farms are a good idea also.

The Green movement is the biggest grift going.

do you really want to do this? Because believe me you’re not going to win this argument.

Btw, if you’re here who’s moderating Reddit?

I have a prosperous law practice litigating wildfire cases. In my neck of the woods most wildfires are started ("ignited" is the term we all use) by virtue of the negligence of the utilities with responsibility for maintaining their electrical transmission and distribution conductors. They don't do a good job of that.

These fires, therefore, are caused by the negligence of the utilities, much like the OP's comment that the Canadian wildfires are caused by people.

But that isn't the point. The severity of these fires has been getting worse. They are more difficult to contain with low humidity more common and high winds more prevalent. A small fire can now quickly grow and consume an entire town -- like Lahaina this month or Paradise, California in November 2018. (Two small fires on November 8, 2018 grew into huge conflagrations. The Camp Fire that took Paradise and the Woolsey Fire that burned through Ventura County to Malibu, only stopped by the Pacific Ocean.)

The evidence whether mankind has caused the earth to heat is fairly conclusive. And the remedies are well known. But some people, primarily dependent on fossil fuel production for their livelihoods, dispute the science. Our OP also thinks that climate change is some kind of a fraud, but where he sees fraud (and is wrong about the reasons and what must be done), others see opportunity.

But money is a hell of a drug. For decades the tobacco industry had pulled the wool over peoples' eyes. They even hired physicians to extol the medical benefits of tobacco. Of course, there were none.

Perhaps the license plate best encapsulating the OP's ignorance should be DNTLKUP after the movie, Don't Look Up.

“climate change” doesn’t really really mean anything. The long debunked claim of “97% of “scientists” agree” (on climate change) is a fraudulent statement. They never actually explain - agree on what, exactly ?

they asked questions like, “do you think climate change is real?” Well no one is going to answer “no” to that. Even the skeptics.

But the idea that there’s a climate “crisis” that requires immediate and forceful intervention, or is some existential threat to the earth? - “that” IS a fraud.

if you don’t believe me, ask Wil Happer, or Richard Lindzen. If you don’t know who they are then you have no business even participating in the discussion.

as for forest fire worldwide the total area burned has decreased over time.

yes DECREASED.

Burn acreage in the US so far this year is the LOWEST since 1998 and down 96% since 1930. (See attached graphic)

warming:

the earth has warmed about 1 degree over the past 100 years.

and the same in the 100 years before that, and the same in the 100 years before that.

And it isn’t speeding up, it’s been warming at the same steady rate.

deaths from extreme weather events have DECREASED by over 95% in the last 100 years.

Through July 27, the percentage of the US to have reached 95F (35C) this year is third lowest since 1895, down almost 50% from 1931. (Pic attached)

there is simply no evidence that the climate has warmed to any degree That is posing any threat to humans.

but you’re correct, money IS a hell of a drug.

scientists are just as responsive to incentives as anyone else that needs money to keep making a living. if climate change isn't a crisis, and they're usually very specific about that but keep quiet as the press exaggerates their claims, the money dries up.

No money, no research.

that’s incorrect. The humidity isn’t less because there has been no warming for the last 9 years
