Motul High-Torque DCTF transmission Fluid

High performance 100% Synthetic - ESTER lubricant specially engineered for Racing, Tuned and High-power road cars fitted with highly stressed Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT).
Suitable for use in a wide range of high-performance vehicles fitted with DCT gearboxes featuring Wet Double Clutch Transmission design.
Especially suitable for Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT), facing high levels of torque and power, from suppliers such as ZF, GETRAG, BORG WARNER, TREMEC or RICARDO and used by main sport car manufacturers: ALPINE (DW5), AUDI (S-tronic), BMW (Drivelogic), BUGATTI (Ricardo), FERRARI, FORD, MERCEDES AMG, MITSUBISHI (TC-SST), NISMO, NISSAN (GR6), PORSCHE (PDK),…
Dedicated 100% Synthetic - ESTER high friction DCT Fluid formulated with exclusive additives that guarantee optimum clutch-friction behavior to maintain high performance output.
Provides the best protection even in extreme conditions, gives superior transmission response, improves DCT shifting at cold and high temperatures.
MOTUL HIGH-TORQUE DCTF is specially engineered to maintain the high-performance output of these advanced transmissions and designed to protect high-tech dual-clutch transmissions in the most intense and most extreme, highheat operating conditions.
Features:
- Provides a perfect friction level suited to high torque/power engines for transferring maximum power to the wheels.
- Gives superior transmission response: smooth shift feeling and no torque interruption in-between shifts.
- Improves DCT transmission flexibility and response at cold and high temperature.
- Keeps consistent viscosity even at extreme temperatures to provide the best protection for all DCT components.
- Provides anti-shudder performance to avoid vibrations on the engine flywheel.
- Protects numerous gears, compact and heavily loaded.
- Extends lifetime duration, superior shear stability at high temperature.
- Offers significantly better oxidation resistance than conventional synthetic product.
- Increased anti-wear protection, higher anti-corrosion and anti-foam performance.
Note:
- Not to be used in conventional A/T, CVT and Dry DCT applications.

Any reason you're considering going to a non-MB approved fluid? Come across any comparison data on wear protection, durability, etc?
Or just anecdotal 'evidence'?
I am genuinely curious.
Myself, I hesitate to stray from the MB approved fluids, as this will very likely void any warranties.
And this Getrag 7DCL750 Trans specifically has some design flaws which can lead to earlier failure (see my previous thread on matter), although seems MB has mitigated/reduced this potential to some degree on subsequent updated Trans iterations

I started running Pentosin FFL-3 for 10 years with extensive track use in my 2008 Nissan GT-R as an alternative to the very expensive and hard to get Nissan fluid. Everyone at the time was worried that you had to use factory fuid. But I had had multiple e-mail communications with Dr. Edgar Steigerwald from Pentosin who had personally developed the first DCT fluid under contract for Audi when they introduced the DCT. His most modern fluid at the time was their FFL-3 which was the standard and lifetime DCT fluid for BMW's. He assured me it would be perfect for the Nissan DCT, and I bought it from BMW suppliers in 20 L containers and changed the fluid usually every year due to all the track use and the fact that the Nissan's transmission was not sufficiently cooled. Never a transmission problem or issue with that fluid. So I am good with using other than manufacturer fluids, in particular as it is not Mercedes who makes the fluid and they probably see no benefit in adding other fluids to their approved list. They just want you to buy the fluid and service from their dealers which is just the Shell fluid. A transmission and differential fluid change from a Mercedes dealer is crazy expensive, so I prefer to do it myself as others have done.
