GT Coupe Rear Glass Tint

For you DIY guys...

I bought a pre-cut dark tint for the rear glass to install myself but noticed it was not cutout around the profile of the 3rd brake light. How easy is it to remove the plastic trim to tint the whole glass or am I going to end up with rattles after reinstalling the plastic trim?

Thoughts?

Try doing a test run with a sheet of paper, fit it between the plastic and the glass, there might be enough space there to do the job without removing any of the plastic pieces.

Yah that was my plan of attack but that would mean that I would have to squeegie almost 3 inches in creating strees on the far end. My other thought was to make a paper template to use as a cutaway around the 3rd Brake light.

Tint on rear window is tough for me. Its already difficult to see out of the back window (unless that is why you are tinting it anyway).

I checked mine and it is tinted under the plastic over the light, so it should fit.
Not sure how to squeegee under there so don't use too much water. I assume a heat gun or hair drier should help too

just had mine tinted today, the guys just popped that piece off, no squeaks or rattles in addition to the 11 million the car already has.
