Except for the Hawaii and wife you might pass. What are your boards in?

As for Hawaii, my grandfather -- born in 1877 in Austria -- migrated to the United States through Honolulu, Hawaii, via a 3-masted schooner that traversed Cape Horn. His colorful story included working for the owner of the only hardware store on Oahu in the 1890s before he migrated to San Francisco. Here's a photo of him

dressed up and ready to ride. He told me he used to make $1 a day. (He died in 1966 when I was 21. His son, my father, made it to 100.)

Anesthesiology, Pain Medicine, and Addiction Medicine - though I now work as an ER doc (it's been a long and interesting career.....)
