Thank you for the video.

I'd like to address your note regarding avoiding wetting the Alcantara. Generally, the recommended cleaning method involves dampening the Alcantara/Dinamica before applying the soap-based leather cleaner. This helps the cleaning agent work more effectively and penetrate deeper. Not following this step is akin to washing your hands with soap without wetting them first. Some time ago, I included cleaning recommendations in this form. You can find them in post #37:

Your video specifically says not to use water, but the Alcantara site indicates that using water is applicable:
https://www.alcantara.com/cleaning-m...ean-alcantara/
(see the non-cleaning-product alternative steps under yearly cleaning).

Personally, I've always used only water, though I:
- tend to have dry skin
- am careful about not having dirty (especially greasy/oily) hands before driving (e.g., after applying sunscreen)
- clean the Alcantara portion of the steering wheel a couple of times per year
- do use the cloth/wiping methods you detailed in your video

I find that the water-only cleaning has been sufficient to keep it "looking like new."
