A1 service vs reputable mechanic service

So the A1 service on our cars at a Mercedes dealership is $560. It’s basically an oil change, and the next 50,000 mile / 5 year service is $1850. Which is an oil change plus spark plugs. If I were to get the second service done at a reputable Mercedes mechanic, what is the downside? Are buyers of the car later on wanting to see service records ONLY from Mercedes dealerships? Or does it not matter, as long as the service is done?

For routine service independent shops are sufficient to maintain one's warranty (during the warranty period). So prospective buyers should not be concerned as long as the service is done.
