Recently a clunky rattle has appeared in my 2019 GTC coupe with 2k miles. It sounds like it is somewhere around the shifter in the center console. It happens on rough roads or bumps. It sounds fairly substantial and as such is worrisome. Before I take it to the less than stellar dealership I’d like to have an idea what it could be. In general the car squeaks and rattles like crazy but this one is different. It is heavy like a mount is loose. Any ideas?

I also have a 2019 GTC coupe but mine has just over 3600 miles now. The only rattles mine had were from the back hatch area where the handle, etc is. I used foam/felt in the areas that had play and it's been quiet ever since.
Did buy it new?

Yes, I bought it new in November 2018. It’s my far my favorite car and still gets attention from people at least once a week! Thankfully my hatch area is quiet but my doors rattle like crazy. It is up near the door handle I think but those noises are not as disconcerting as this center clunk.
