Low Coolant and Rough Steering
One evening i left the car out and the next morning the car steering became really rough; it was also followed by a low coolant sign.
I did open up the engine and top it off with some European car blend coolant (the big reservoir was really low and the one on the left side - overflow? also seemed low so i put some into that one as well). I did overflow the main one a bit past the max line on accident so i am not sure if that would also throw a code.
Car still shows the check coolant sign and ive taken it for a few quick spins and power cycles and the message still does not go away;
What really puzzles me is the rough steering all of a sudden. I dont think they are realted but could the computer be acting up causing this?
Any ideas on what to troubleshoot before a trip to a shop/dealer?
Should i try putting some power steering fluid in, and if so what brands are reccomended for our cars?
after filling it up, filled a little too much and went past the line.
Thanks!
im wondering if a rodent got into it when parked outside overnight, any ideas where to start looking or if this has happened to anyone?
see some error codes it’s theowing

When I opened the undercarriage this was just hanging not holding onto anything

The larger water tank is for the engine cooling circuit. The smaller tank is the NTK circuit. This is responsible for the two intercooler, transmission and differential. Overfilling is not a problem
If the water level is too high, the pressure increases and the pressure relief valves responsible for this (in the lids) open.
Not nice but nothing happens, except dripping water.
Remote diagnosis is always bad, but here is my opinion:
Your fault is almost certainly electrical. Since different systems are affected (which is why I'm ruling out a single fuse as the cause) but are spatially not far apart, a cable damage (marten bite?) is not that far off.
Take a look at these cables visually.
If you find anything, check/measure the connections and check all the relevant fuses. (Could possibly be triggered by cable damage)
Your steering is certainly not lacking oil. The rough behavior is probably due to the speed-dependent pressure control. (via an electrically timed hydraulic valve)
