Believe we have two versions so far: early 2025 production from last summer and the new one with 055 modification.

Does anybody know what are the differences between the two?
Are there any known issues with early 2025 production that warranted this modification?
Thanks!

Modification year 24/2 usually means that this is the facelift for models built in the second half of 2024.

There are none! This just means that it is built in the 2nd half a model year usually past January 1st. So for example, My 2025 S63 that is being built in March has code 055 Modification year 24/2 but there are no changes from a car 24/1 and 24/2 in the 2025 S63.

Car On Hold for 4 months at the Factory

Thanks, this helps.
Here is the reason for asking about 055 modification and concern about MY 25 order.: car was built in early August and has been sitting On Hold in factory (at final inspection stage). Mystery to me is why such a long hold (did not order rear wing or anything that was in short supply). Highly frustrating situation, never got the reason for hold. Went all the way up to GM, but no answer. By some miracle got call from the sales stating my order is in transit (after 4 months of delay).

Now, the 200k dilemma: should I take this car, or get another one from different dealer (their quote was showing 055 modification )?

Inputs/suggestions are welcome.
