ECCO Start/Stop
After driving my 2025 GT 55 Coupe for about 1,600 miles, I can say that it is the Holy Grail of daily drivers...and no more 911s for me. When I come to a full and complete stop by pressing on the brake pedal, the Start/Stop System shuts off the engine. However, after 1 or 2 minutes the engine restarts automatically even though my foot is still pressing on the brake pedal. Is this normal for this model car? If not, how do I get rid of this situation. How do I keep the engine shut off until I press the gas pedal.

Likely the A/C is one factor. Another is the vehicle's electrical system that continues to consume power while the engine is off. The engine must restart while there's yet adequate battery capacity.
not sure if it changed with newer MBs, but older MBs actually drain the battery while at low rpm and idle surprisingly.
Can't find the specific thread but a well respected forum member did testing and confirmed the alternator charges less than what the vehicle requires at certain driving RPM or idle, it might had been this one: https://mbworld.org/forums/e-class-w...tire-life.html
again, this is for older MBs, so might not be applicable to OP's.
