How is the Trunk Subwoofer removed for testing?

does anyone know how to remove the speaker subwoofer grill or interior trim so that I can test the speaker. It sounds blown when I play certain songs.

Does the grill come off or does the entire interior trim piece? Have to come off to remove the subwoofer

Thank you very much

Usually just held in with some spring clips. Get a slim panel remover and slide underneath the metal rim and pry up gently.

Remove the entire carpeted panel. Start by popping off the plastic trim piece that covers the trunk latch. It just pulls straight up. The there's one torx screw attaching the cargo cover bracket and one plastic clip to pop out. Then the carpeted panel should be removable. Just go slowly.

I’ve only had my GTC for about a month. I never feel the subwoofer in the trunk move or vibrate or make any sound. Is that normal? Is that the same thing you’re experiencing?

Its a terrible design for this caliber of car. If you think it sounds bad inside the car, turn it up a bit and stand by the right rear fender.

I’ve kind of stopped thinking about it. When I listen to other peoples, it sounds about the same. The Mercedes dealership said it’s working. I guess I would have to take the word for it.
