Some more injector information

Hi all. Today I got the car out for the first time after finishing the injectors and it worked perfectly. I drove down to the dealer and gave the mechanic that tipped me off to the TSB about these injectors being a common problem. He thanked me and said he sees injector replacement quite often.

So my car as just over 50000 miles on it and its a 2018 model. Perhaps age and ethanal gas took its toll on the injectors. Needless to say all the old ones are getting thrown out.

I wanted to point out injector part number you need and I got mine from FCP Euro. You would also need to seal kit which is not pictured but availabe from FCP euro. Also pictured (in two places) but almost impossible to see is the code that you must write down for later computer programming are in the pictures. By the way the cylinders are numbered passenger side 1 and going backwards to 4 and drivers side 5 going backwards to 8. FInally pictured is the tools you need to replace the seals. There are videos on youtube to show how this is done and I got the tool for about 100 dollars on ebay. IF you get new injectors you DO NOT need to sizing tool for the injector tip seal since its already installed on the new injector.

Thanks for the info !!

To translate this into Mercedes-Benz part numbers:

The official Mercedes-Benz part number is 256-070-56-00-80, listed as the Injection Nozzle. It is used on 2018–2021 AMG GT S, GT C, and GT R models.

The corresponding injector seal is Mercedes-Benz part number 177-072-00-00, listed as the Injection Nozzle Seal.
