Brake Pads
Brake Pads
Hello everyone,
Will have to change my brake pads soon. Do any of you have any recommendations for barke pads? I have the steel brakes, still with factory pads and factory rotors. My rotors seem fine, so I will just be replacing the pads.
Thanks, everyone!

I would go OEM, as it maintains factory balance, noise and dust. Of course if you are tracking, then there are other options.

If you’re doing a mix of street and track, are you open to swapping pads (and possibly rotors) for track days and then switching back for daily driving? It requires some DIY effort, but many enthusiasts do it.
Other factors also matter: does brake dust bother you? And depending on your intended use, even your driving area's typical ambient temperatures can influence pad/rotors selection.
In general, OEM pads and rotors are quite good. They offer a well-balanced setup for mostly daily driving with some light to moderate track use. That said, there are several aftermarket options that can improve performance, depending on how you answered the questions above.
