CLS owners, need help.

I test drove a CLS 500 the other day and the interior seemed to have more leather than my CLK...or I should say I had a hard time telling what was leather and what was not. Everything seems to have that stitching that looks like leather. Besides the seats and the steering wheel, what else is leather in this car? I don't want to use the regular Meguires interior cleaner on these leather surfaces. Is the center armrest leather? How about the armrests on the doors? I'm pretty sure the shifter is leather, correct? Also certain parts of the door are leather I think....they are in my CLK. I will also ask my dealer when the car comes in...but I like to know this stuff in advance.
Thanks

Are you geting the cls500 or 55? On the 500 you can use the leather conditioner/cleaner on just about anything and everything you think is leather

The 55 is another story. Only use a moist microfiber towell to clean. No cleaners/conditoners, nothing. That includes all Mercedes approved leather cleaner products

Wow. Was just going to post this same ? Planning on doing a leather treatment tomorrow.
I think Stiggs ordered a 55. Congratulations Stiggs

Thanks for the info.idrivatitleist I have been using Lexol for years and to tell you the truth it can be a messy PITA. Looking for something different may try the Meguiar's since it doesn't have the Nappa.

For the care/renovation/maintenace of leather upholstery these products are second to none-http://www. Leatherique.com

Rejuvenator Oil - known for its ability to soften even cardboard hard leather, a complex blend of animal oils and proteins, Collagens and other beneficial ingredient, it will not stain or discolour leather. Simply massage into the leather with your hands, and let it be absorbed into the fibres, its' unique capillary action forces the oils and proteins into the leather and the dirt out.

7. Prestine Clean - does not contain any harsh chemicals or petroleum distillates to dry and destroy fine leathers, contains a conditioner that cleans and conditions vinyl, even rubber trim pieces. Use to clean leather after application of Rejuvenator Oil has done its job or as maintenance cleaner

I plan on getting the 55. But I don't understand. Why can't I use any leather cleaners? I clean my CLK55 with the Mercedes Leather care by Meguairs now. It seems to work real nice. Is it bad for the car?

I'd check the manual on the CLK55

According to the CLS55 manual. And it is very specific. Nothing, not even mb approved leather cleaners. Moist microfiber towel only.

Gotta be the leather
