i went throught the zaino products, but as i thought most of the products are polish type, as you know it is not good for the paint to polish the car a lot , not like waxing which add a layer above the paint it self. if i was planning to use zaino products i would use it once every year not like the wax which can be used weekly or more often.correct me if am wrong about zaino products .

Zaino is not really a "polish" in terms of how a polish is normally defined. The term Polish normally indicates that it contains abrasives which remove a fine layer of top coat in order to create a smooth surface. As you say, this type of polish would be bad to use regularly on your car. Zaino however is a polymer, and not a true polish (although they call themselves a polish). It contains no abrasives, so it's perfectly fine to use often/regularly.

a good reason to apply it while the paint is new then... otherwise, you'll need a polish first to remove the damage before you can appreciate it's effect.

If it "really needs" to be clayed, then I'm not sure how you would be wasting your time by doing it.

By the way, claying a car really does not take much more time then washing the car. You can work pretty quick.

REV, what do you use for a lube when you clay? I use the detail spray and it worked fine, but I wonder if a bit of water and soap isn't the better way to go? Did you find the clay bar got dirty when you clayed? Oddly I didn't even though I could feel some contamination on the paint with a plastic glove..

Z5 if your paint is faded, or scratched, or Z2 pro if it's not...

ZF-X if you want to do multiple layers inside of 24 hours..

Z-8 for an easy way to maintain the shine

Z-6 for a cheaper version of Z8

I would clay the car if I were you after you strip off the old wax.. otherwise you'll be applying wax over contaminated paint, which I'm sure you have in a sandy area like Kuwait.

thinking of it, the car would be already waxed but i bit it won't be with zaino so if i want to use zaino products do i really need to remove the exisiting wax, and do the whole steps againe.if the car is brand new i don't belive i need to clay it or use Z-5. so do i really need to clay it to use the otehr stuff?

Zaino recommends you start with a blank slate... no wax, no contamination (ie clay the car) but I'm sure it would look good (though not as good) if you just clayed it, leaving the wax on and going from there..

I have practically no swirls, even after 6 months.. I don't know if it's the nanopaint, or what... but I've never seen a paint as good as this. Zaino only helped, it didn't remove any since there were none to start with.

I use Z-8 spray to keep it up, and I NEVER use a tunnel or brush wash.. I always use the "Pressure Washer" or hand wash the car.

what i mean is what type of soap you use to wash the car . if you use a normal dish soap you will end with removing the wax, do u use for example maguaire car wash or zaino ??

I dont believe in zaino.

I bought the whole set and used it once on the SL55 and E320. I, personally, don't think 10 hours or 2 days of cleaning my car is worth it, when i can take it to get a detailed and pay for it from one night of working and it looks just as good...

no Zaino, and 1/2 a dozen others make "car wash" soap that doesn't strip was, they're all good IMHO.. pick any.

I generally just take my car to the pressure washer and use the "high pressure wax" as the cleaning cycle, with R.O. water for the final rinse.. In Arizona cars don't get too dirty so it's all I really need.. I avoid rubbing against the paint with a sponge, brush or other abrasive method as much as possible.

It's more than just making your car look good; it's about doing it yourself.
It's about seeing the benefits reaped through the efforts; blood sweat and tears (probably more of the sweat then anything else).
