Zymol Wax on Work Rims?
Will this be safe on Work rims to help make cleaning of brake dust easier? My rims are silver, and the lips are polished with a clearcoat.
Thanks

if it has a clear coat, then you should treat the rims like paint. After they have been thoroughly cleaned, you can polish them if you like then you will move onto wax. The best wax in this case would be synthetic wax as those withstand higher temperatures that the rest. Choose whichever wax you like. And just be sure that it is clear coated. To see if it is not clear coated, get a light polish and polish the metal. If it turns black, then it is NOT clear coated. Good luck having the shiniest of rims.

Before you wax after washing, take some time to clay them to free the embedded break dust on your wheels, then go ahead and wax them so you won't seal anything underneath.

I use zymol on all of my chrome rims. It makes them look new everytime. I have used it since my wheels were new, I never have brake dust stick at all. To me zymol works much better that mothers but mothers may be made for aluminum wheels.
Go ahead, wax on, wax off..

I just use a normal wheel cleaner to begin with the get all the brake dust off, then dry the wheels of completey and apply the wax. The best one i have found for the rims is "titanium by zymol", it gives a very deep shine. try searching them on the net, or if you go to zymol.com they will list all the distributors in your area.
