Removing Pinstriping

I have a black 2002 S600 with burgundy and greyish pinstriping that is faded in spots. Is there a method for me to safely remove the pinstriping or is this something I should hire a professional to do.

I wouldn't be afraid to try this myself.I would 1st clay bar the entire pinstripe area real good. Then I would start at one end with a hair dryer and a pair of tweezers.Use long sweeping motions over a 18" area keeping the hair dryer about 1ft. away from the pinstripe. The glue should re-activate and you should be able to get the tweezers under the front end of the pinstripe and pull it off.Once you get it started be very patient and use the same sweeping motions over small sections and it should come off.Once completed re-clybar the area to remove any residual glue.Let us know how you make out.
P.S. welcome to the forum.
