Another thread reminded me I should post this in this forum.....One of the best ways to protect the rear bumper from parking garage attendants is the "bumper buddy." It got it from my Mercedes dealer in Manhattan, NY. It is a piece of foam that hooks to the inside of the trunk by bungee cords.

If you routinely use parking garages with attendants, you can save your rear bumper with one of these things.
