I have a new 2007 SL55 AMG in Obsidian Black metallic and I am thinking about purchasing Swissol Wax products and would like to know if any of you currently use Swissol and most importantly your experiences and results.
I currently use Auto Glym and wash once a week and try and polish once every couple of months. The car is garaged.
Thanks

From my understanding Swissol is essentially the same as Zymol's line of waxes. There was a lawsuit in the past between those two companies. Right on Zymol's website is a link to the information which was settled late 2005: Found Here
Zymol's carnauba waxes can cost up to 7000+ Euro's which I've heard are excellent and Swissol's can be several hundred. Once you start talking about carnauba waxes that cost $100+/- you expect more results but I'm just not sure how much better the results are for the money. Especially, considering there are great options available for less. Is the 7,000 euro Zymol better? Probably, its just a question of how much better, imo.
From my experience, (which includes using the Zymol Estate products but not the Swissol line) one of the best carnauba waxes on the market regardless of price is Pinnacle Souveran. If you notice we do not carry the rest of the Pinnacle Line yet, but decided to carry their Souveran Paste Wax because it looks stunning (especially on darker paint red, black, blue, etc). Even at a fraction of the cost, Poorboy's Natty's Blue is an excellent choice for a quality carnauba wax.
While carnauba waxes add the perfect finishing touch I like to stress to detailers that prep work is where the results come from. A complete detail involves wash/dry, clay bar, polishes, glaze, sealant and finally a carnauba wax. IMO the polishing phase is where you can really help your vehicle get that deep and wet look when used in combination with a great sealant and/or carnauba wax. For prep work, I am a fan of Menzerna's line of polishes. Menzerna is actually used at the Mercades Benz factory in Germany. Sorry for getting a little off topic but I just wanted to make sure I covered all the basics of getting the right look and the right products. Let me know if you have any questions.
