Meguiars carwash is leaving a film.....

The film or "wax" that is left typically comes right off after the first rain. It is much like a touchless car wash: it's made to make the car look good until first saturation. Also, the film can hinder the ability for a real wax and/or sealant to bond properly.
Start using that soap for your wheels. I'm frugal when it comes to expensive stuff, so I don't use my $30 soap for wheels. A great local solution is Meguiar's NXT soap. It suds up really well, and has active polymers within to help reduce the hard-water you may be washing with. In my experience, it has rinsed very well, and works alright in the sun. You can pick up a gallon at Walmart for around $6.
I liked toying around with soaps while I owned my detailing business. Now that I have sold it, I'm back to detailing as a hobby. There are great soaps available online: Optimum Soap (great overall performance and value), Adams Polishes Wash (a little more expensive, but well worth it. The absolute most suds), Poorboys Super Slick and Suds, Menzerna (not worth the $$), 4 Star, etc...
Best of luck to you~
It is made by the same manufacturer (private labeled)...much like S100 are the same products as P21S. Both are great soaps, but I think their "value" is on the low side.
