How to remove gum from paint?

How to remove gum from paint?
I got some gum on my rear lower panel behind the rear tire. How is the best way to remove this? I got most it off - but the last bit seem to not want to come off. Any recommendations?

Try using some WD40. On the WD40 fan club website it is recommended for removing adhesives without damaging paint. Click on 2000 uses to view the list. I use it to clean and protect stainless steel on my boat. I have not had any adverse effects using it on auto paint. From what I understand it contains a solvent and oil. Let me know how it works.

I've tried the ice route...no luck...
I was thinking of using WD40, but thought it may be too harsh on the paint....fortunately...it is on the lower rear panel, so it is not that noticeable.
Will report after I try the WD40.

When CAN'T you use WD-40? I remember hearing on the radio where it isn't recommended for certain applications because they said something about it "displacing water". I think they were talking about the guides on a motorized garage door. Any ideas?
