Cleaning tar from body
Somehow (don't ask) I got some black tar, or at least what seems a lot like tar, on my red C230. Its about the size of a tennis ball and obviously looks really bad on red.
Any ideas on how I can get this off? I tried Windex with no luck. Thanks in advance.

Try the Bug and Tar remover (I used the turtle brand). They are made to remove tar. NEVER use windex on your paint - it will never look like mirror

Start with the previous recommendations, and if that does not work, step up to a professional product: 3M Adhesive Remover. After that, try anything you can such as WD-40, degreasers, etc...
If after countless attempts to get it off, it remains, you're only choice is to physically pry it off and then polish out the scratches you will undoubtedly make while doing it.

The regular 87 octane from my lawn mower worked pretty good. It melts the tar right off. Just make sure you wash the gasoline with soap and water right away.
