2002 S-430
Product Line Up

So I am going to be taking care of my dads 2002 S-430 this coming weekend. His car is a tectite grey with very faint swirl marks. Going go run through the following. What do you guys think?

1. Wash & Dry
2. Clay (Meguiars)
3. Menzerna Nano Polish --> White Pad Light Cut (Orbital Buffer)
4. Klasse AIO (Hand Apply)
5. Klasse SG (Hand Apply)
6. 24 hour Curing Period for Klasse SG
7. Poor Boys Natty Blue Wax Paste (Hand Apply)
8. Quick Detailer to take care of remaining residue

Sounds like a good line up of products and routine to make the paint shine and stay well protected. The only step you may consider using is a medium polish before the nano polish. This will give you some additional cutting power to remove slightly deeper imperfections. However I think you'll be fine with what you have. I typically use a light polish first and then add another more aggressive polish if I think it's needed. I would also just make sure you have good washing, drying and microfiber towels for the other steps. Assuming you have clean and paint safe tools you should be good to go. Let us know how it comes out and if you have any questions.

Thanks for the feedback Greg. In reference to SIP, I decided not go with it because the paint is in pretty good condition and Nano does have some cutting power. I was going to start with a Lake Country White pad first and if required move to a Orange pad with the Nano and follow back over with the white. How do you think that would work out?

Generally, you want to match the polish and pad. Use a white or black pad with nano and orange or white with IP or SIP. But I’m not a polish expert yet.

I think you are on the right track. Start off with the nano and the white pad. If you want a little more cutting power try it with the orange and follow that up with the white if any haze needs to be removed. If you don't get enough cutting power on your next detail you can add the SIP to your routine.

2002 S-430
Alright guys so I after getting suggestions off this board and others I bought some new stuff and went and detailed the M5 first before trying this stuff on the S-430 & E55. I followed the steps below. The pictures don't do the final results justice but next time around I will be using the Menzerna SIP & Orange Pad and then follow it with Menzerna Nano & Blue Pad.

**This is for all those folks who wondered how the car would turn out if only Nano & White Pad was used. I wondered the samething but no one had posted such results.**

I used the UDM which made the polish process money! I spent about 4 hours completing the process. The UDM is a life saver. Practice makes perfect and I have a S-430 and E55 lined up to work on Let me know what you guys think. I tried to take the best pictures I could. It was sunny on/off. Picture link below.

Note: The picture names indicate what was applied at the time.
MZNANO --> Menzerna Nano
KAIO --> Klasse AIO
PBWaxBlue --> Poor Boys Natty Blue Wax
etc....
