Another question about Zaino

Today I washed the car using Zaino Z7. In the final rinse I removed the hose nozzle to sheet the water off the car. As I was doing this I had a close look at the beading pattern of the water. Apart from the normal beading you would expect from a waxed car, I notice very minute beads of water...as if I had sprayed the car from a distance using the hose nozzle on the sort of fine mist setting. I thought this was quite strange...

...so my question is, is this a symptom of Zaino not properly bonding to the paint? I am currently using Z1 instead of ZFX and it is quite difficult to know whether I have properly prep'ed the car with it (as it is hard to see).

Just to be safe, I put another coat of Z1 on followed by Z5...Z6 and Z2 tomorrow. I think I'd better get a bottle of ZFX as the waiting you need to go thru using Z1 is a killer!

So did you already wax the car with Z1 and Z2 and then wash the car with Z7? That sounds weird. Normally if you have waxed the car before with a different brand of wax other than Zaino you would normally use Dawn washing liquid to really clear the previous wax and then use Z7 after. And then Zfx+Z2.

The trademark of Zaino is the reallllllllllllllllly tight beads. Your description of the beads is exactly how water will bead on a good coat of Z. Don't worry, it surprised me too!

Sorry Jam, I wasn't very clear...I didn't use a wax...just using the word wax to describe how I thought the water should bead. Prior to the wash, I had 2 coats of Z5 and one coat of Z2 (put on 2 weeks ago). Anyway, this time around I am pretty sure I put a good coat of Z1 on so if the beading is the same, as 500AMG says it should be, I will be happy.

You should be happy. Very tight beads means that either your paint has a flawless microscopic surface (unlikely) or that Zaino is doing it's job. As Zaino fades, the beads should grow larger and larger.

Sorry ignore my posts. Was thinking about something else on that beading pattern.
