Most swirls come from this step so invest in some quality products and make sure you use good technique. Our Detailing Guide will help you do a safe and effective job. If you need some suggestions I recommend you look at our DI Packages section and our Washing and Drying Starter Kit.
Clay Bar
This step helps deep clean the paint that even brand new cars can benefit from. I really like the Clay Magic Fine Grade Clay bar and the Chemical Guys Luber. Easy to use and works great.
Polish
You can use a light polish or a cleaning/chemical polish at this step to help further clean and shine the paint. The Menzerna PO106FA would be a great light polish to use to help remove any swirls, oxidation, etc. and it's a good long term investment for any detailer. If you prefer just a cleaning polish try the P21S Paintwork Cleanser.
Sealant
Sealant protect far longer than a wax so I typically recommend using a sealant for durable protection. My hands down favorite is the Chemical Guys Jetseal 109. If you want something more affordable try the Chemical Guys M-Seal.
Waxes
Waxes don't last as long as a sealant but I still like the added protection and I especially like the gloss a carnauba wax has. The Dodo Juice Diamond White Hard Wax is specifically formulated to give white paint that extra deep gloss. I love this wax because it applies with ease and looks stunning!
