Help for a Newbie Please!
I just took delivery ogf my E500. It is Obsidian Black and lookks totally swirl and scratch free.
I ordered Zaino products for what I thought I needed buit in re-reading some of the posts here seems maybe I missed something.
I got the clay-bar, z-7, z-5, z-1, and zfx. In reading tonite, it looks like I also need z-6 and should use z-2 instead of z-5.
Can I substitute z-6 with Mequire's Quick Detailer polish?
Should I claybar and use my Mequire's Classic Gold polish instead of the Zaino until I can get z-2,?
Or go ahaead and use z-1 , then z-5 with zfx ? Using Mequires Quick deatailer in between coats. ?
I am hoping to set in about 3 good coats Sunday so the car will show well and be set for the next few weeks.
Any Thoughts?

I got your email and will reply. Do not mix Zaino and meguiars products (Meg's quick detailer is a big no no when applying zaino).
Z6 is not needed but just makes the zaino a lil glossier when applied in between coats. Z5 will be fine, Z5 and Z2 are essentially the same thing(Z5 is less "optically clear" and fills in swirl marks (which you don't have) but it wont hurt). I find Z5 to be slightly more durable, but it could be my imagination.
Z1 was not necissary to order if you got the ZFX. They do exactly the same thing. Maybe your zaino supplier will allow you to send it back and exchange for Z6. ZFX makes the zaino cure/bond to the paint quickly and allows you to do 3 coats in 1 day. Z1 is older and does not speed up the cure time, just helps the bonding, also you can only do 1 coat in a 24 hr period with Z1. They should not be used in conjuction.
