how to clean dust??

Anyone knows how to clean dust without causing minor scratches/swirl marks? I can see dust on my car 20 minutes later after an hour spent washing it. Black car is a pain to keep clean. Will microfiber towel work? How about Cali Car duster? I've heard Cali CAr duster causes swirl marks? Is this true? Thanx

A quick detailer and a microfiber towel should work fine. Personally though, I'm really **** about causing more micro-marring, so I generally live with a little dust for about a week and then do a full wash. You are right about black cars. It can be a pain to keep them perfect, but when they are they look damn good!

Dust

Anything dry, even a microfiber towel, is more likely to cause scratches than something damp or wet. The moisture helps to cut down on friction. However, I agree, better to wait and put up with a little dust until the next wash.

can't believe no one mentioned the California Duster yet. Go buy it, works great. Picks up dust like no ones business, I can't say that i haven't seen scratches since my car is silver, but it supposedly guarantees no scratches. Check it out

actually i did mention Cali car duster. I have one and used it couple of times. It works good but I heard it causes scratches because it attracts dirt and it stays on it. And when u clean your car the dirt causes the scratches. Al, any insight on how to clean dust? You have a black car, what method do u use?
