Folex if you want something convenient. 303 if you want something you can buy online or if you're lucky enough to have a store nearby that carries it.

Fabric Seat Cleaning:

1. Cleaning- Use a soft brush to remove any surface dust, the next step is to clean the fabric by spraying 303™ Cleaner & Spot Remover until damp; this product may be used on all water safe materials. The cleaning action increases with warm water, agitation and longer dwell time. Completely wipe away dirt/grime with damp cloth until clean, rinsing out towel in clean warm water as required, allow to completely dry before use.

Lycra seat covers - for all neoprene and Lycra water sports gear, wetsuits, dry suits, boots and gloves, fishing waders, orthopaedic supports and more. Leaves neoprene articles free of organic residue, chlorine and salt deposits, chlorine-removing agents and conditioners help prevent premature aging and oxidation Mc Nett Wet Suit & Dry Suit Shampoo- http://www.surf-wax.co.uk/acatalog/wetsuit-shampoo.html

Cloth Seat Inserts- use a soft upholstery brush to loosen light dirt / dust and then thoroughly vacuum. Lightly spray (do not soak) a mild fabric cleaner and gently agitate with a soft brush or micro fibre towel, lightly mist with clean distilled water. Use an extractor to remove any moisture and / or pat dry with a clean micro fibre towel.

2. Conditioning and Protecting- Don't miss this very important step. Once your interior is clean and completely dry you should use a conditioning/protection product, which includes UVR protection to ensure protected surface will repel dirt and moisture, and again, keep your vehicle in its like-new condition It is very important to ensure that the fabric upholstery is very thoroughly rinsed, as the cleaners will pull (wick) the dirt to the surface. The soap and oils will attract dirt and oily grime like a magnet (re-soiling) if they are not thoroughly rinsed away giving the appearance that they have not been cleaned.

3. Ultra Violet Protection (Maintenance) - Select a product (303™ Aerospace Protectant) that contains UVR protection for maximum fade protection, a must for convertibles.

4. Fabric Upholstery and Carpet Protection –

Once carpet or upholstery has been cleaned the use of a fabric protector will help to repel grease, dirt, water and oil-based stains. Select a product that contains UVR protection for maximum fade protection, a must for convertibles.

On outdoor materials (convertible fabric or vinyl) it restores water and stains repellence, resists soiling, mildew formation and helps to protect again harmful UVR and infrared radiation.

Scotchgard™ - fluorocarbon chemicals (polymer latex) developed by 3M are mostly inert so by applying it to fabric they provide an effective protective treatment by surrounding each individual fibre with an invisible shield. It can be safely used for the finest fabrics, wool, silk, and fine leathers like Nubuck, Alcantara® and suede. Scotchgard Protector improves the fibres resistance to oil and water-based stains, as well as soiling from everyday use

303™ High Tech Fabric Guard - strong enough to protect fabrics in the harshest environment, yet it can be safely used for the finest fabrics, wool, silk, and fine leathers like Nubuck, Alcantara® and suede. On outdoor fabrics it restores lost water repellency and stain repellency to factory new levels. It resists soiling, impedes mildew formation and helps protect against the sun's harmful UV rays.

Carpet Cleaning

303™ Rug / Upholstery Cleaner & Spot Remover or Folex Instant Carpet Spot Remover, gentle agitation and repetition is the key to success when cleaning stained carpet.

Bio-Kleen Bac-Out – a safe stain and odour eliminator that contains live enzyme cultures that attack organic stains (food, etc) and odours and removes them. P21S® Total Auto Wash (its active ingredient is d-limonene, a safe solvent (citrus) all purpose cleaner (APC)

Alternative - Woolite® Heavy Traffic Carpet Foam

Scotchgard™ Carpet & Fabric Protector - protects carpets against acid-based stains like coloured fruit drinks, soft drinks, gelatine, etc. It also revitalizes soil/stain protection on stain-resistant carpets, protects against dirt, dust, mud and grime.

Carpeted floor mats: Floor mats take a majority of the wear away from the interior carpet. However, this leaves floor mats with soiling as well as oily stains. Inspect for oily stains.

Use a solvent-based spot remover to remove oily stains. Spot treat really bad stains (303TM Cleaner & Spot Remover or Woolite® Heavy Traffic Carpet Foam)

Pour a small amount of cleaner onto a terry towel and wiping toward the centre of the stain to remove the spot. Clean normal to heavy soiling as described above. Floor mats may get as wet as necessary to properly clean them.

Normal cleaning- brush loose dirt/dust with a stiff brush, lightly spray surface with a carpet cleaner (Woolite® Heavy Traffic Carpet Foam) and let the foam remain in place for 5-10 minutes and then remove residue.
Heavily soiled- brush loose dirt/dust with a stiff brush, use a citrus-based pre-cleaner P21S® Total Auto Wash 10:1 distilled hot water, let solution remain in place for 5-10 minutes to enable cleaners to react, and then use a carpet extractor

The rubber backing and the ability to relocate them to a warm place (not direct sunlight) for quick drying aids their cleaning. After mats are clean and dried, use a rubber bristle brush to go over the carpet material to raise the fibres and apply stain guard (303 High Tech Fabric Guard) to repel grease, dirt and oil based stains and provide UV protection against fabric fading.

Benz E-series
Greetings!

Rent the steam cleaner, but forget the expensive cleaners that they sell. Go to local Dollar Store and buy mean green gal jugs. Its works better than anything else on market. It is not destructive and works very good.

1. It is very important to ensure that the carpet / upholstery are very thoroughly rinsed, as the cleaners will pull (wick) the dirt to the surface. The soap and oils will attract dirt and oily grime like a magnet (re-soiling) if they are not thoroughly rinsed away giving the appearance that they have not been cleaned. Once the carpet is cleaned and dried a final vacuuming will remove any light moisture and give the carpet a finished / detailed look

2. The key is to get the fibre as clean and dry as possible; the air movement in the car’s interior is minimal. Turning on the ventilation fan, slightly opening the window / sunroof and the setting up of a small portable fan unit will provide significant air movement as a means to drying, cutting down the time by as much as 50% or more
