Might be too far gone to get it back to brand new look, but Leatherique 2 step process would probably go a long ways towards restoring it somewhat.

Depends on what you consider "back to life".
Obviously, even Leatherqiue, will not get rid of that huge tear, but it will definitely look better. In addition, you are giving the leather some kind of protection, so that it at least does not get much worse.
