Interior Windows
Microfiber towels will probably be the longest lasting towel u have ever used. Simply machine wash with LIQUID DETERGENT (I prefer Tide FREE) and NO FABRIC SOFTENER. Tumble dry with little to no heat for about 5 min then hang to dry. My towels are a year old and still feel like new!
I HIGHLY suggest buying a glass microfiber towel from www.microfibertech.com or emailing ian@microfibertech.com and buying a bottle of Eagle One 20/20 glass cleaner. Simply mist a small amount of the cleaner on the window, wipe with the towel (folded into 1/4s) all over the glass, then flip the towel and go over the glass again. If you want a perfect job, lower the window a little, clean it using the above instructions, then raise it and do the rest. It is that easy to be streak free! Good luck.
Exactly!

The newspaper ink comes off in your hands and if you don't wash it off right away, it can be transferred to a light colored interior. I was surprised to find fresh fingerprints on my just cleaned Ash interior on my CLK430. It looked like a crime scene after CSI came through!
I'm starting to use the window cleaner from Griot's Garage instead of the 20/20. It smells a lot like RainX but dries nicely without the streaks and extra polishing required of RainX. Water beads off fairly well too so it might elimiate having to use RainX afterward. Time will tell.
BTW, what does everyone use to clean tar and otherwise polish their windshields? I used to use 0000 steel wool or some of the fancy glass polishes on my older cars but I'm afraid to use anything other than clay on the new ones.
A friend of mine had acid rain marks that came off with clay, but streaked pretty badly until the clay residue was completly off.
Have you tried Rain-X for light windshield cleaning?
