How do I remove wax from black trim?
Help. How do I get wax off of my black trim (ML55)? I tried a search and read through the stickies.

you mean the black plastic trim? Does the plastic look faded/white? If so, try some peanut butter. (not chunky or extra nutty)

the trim is in very good shape. not greyed and still very pliable. when i waxed the truck i got wax on the trim. peanut butter takes it off?!

exactly which part of the trim are you talking about? If dried white wax is becoming stubborn even after scrubbing, then yes, peanut butter should work. but remember, do not use CRUNCHY/CHUNKY/EXTRA NUTTY or anything that contains actual peanuts, haha

MBWorld Fanatic!
Some other forums swear by it, but its probably better to use peanut oil to take off the wax residue on the black trim.
