Rubber floor mats
Now that winter is "over", I want to clean my rubber floor mats but they still look like crap even after they've been scrubbed. How can I get them looking pristine without spraying them with tire=black or armorall? I've tried magic eraser but that didn't work.

Rubber Floor Mats
The porous nature of rubber attracts oils, dirt and road grime. First remove any road tar, grease and grime, silicone and oxidized rubber from the surface to properly clean it. A rubber cleaner needs to be strong enough to tackle a heavy build-up of road dirt and grime, but not damage the surface
The key to durability is deep cleaning the rubber, spray or apply your cleaner allow to soak in for a minute or two and then scrub with a fairly stiff brush, once clean you should be able to take an old white dry terry towel and rub the surface, it should be almost pristine (if not repeat).
Remove from interior and clean with P21S® High Performance Total Auto Wash-its active ingredient is d-limonene solvent (citrus) a safe all purpose cleaner or Optimum™ Polymer Technologies - Power Clean (diluted 3:1: to 5:1 and then use a power washer or hose to remove any loose dirt and grime. Using a rubber cleaner this will remove any dead rubber road dirt and grime.
The porous nature of rubber and polymers attracts dirt, dust, and brake dust and road grime. Use ultra violet radiation (UV-B) protection to avoid colour fading 1z einszett Cockpit Premium, apply and rub well with a terry towel until dry. It restores the matte black finish and provides UV protection
DO NOT USE tyre dressing on floor mats or brake pedals as they will create a slippery surface
