Rubber floor mats

Now that winter is "over", I want to clean my rubber floor mats but they still look like crap even after they've been scrubbed. How can I get them looking pristine without spraying them with tire=black or armorall? I've tried magic eraser but that didn't work.

The key to durability is deep cleaning the rubber, spray or apply your cleaner allow to soak in for a minute or two and then scrub with a fairly stiff brush, once clean you should be able to take an old white dry terry towel and rub the surface, it should be almost pristine (if not repeat).
