Looking for an advice
First of all I have to say, that I'm absolutely new to detailing. I got my Obsidian Black CLK500 two weeks ago. I think, it's a time to detail the car. I heard a lot of horror stories about what could happen to your car at regular car wash detailing center, so I'll try to avoid it.
I don't think, that I would like to learn how to operate the large buffer on my new car. So I decided to get some orbital. Can I get some advice here? I would greatly appreciate any help. I saw some Meguiar's Cordless Orbital Buffer on their site for $89.95. I this a good idea to start?
The second big question (after I get the orbital) which wax to use, there are millions of them out there - Zioano, Meguiar's, #9, etc.?
I went through some threads on this forum already and figured out for myself, that it's a science to detail the car properly. How do I start?
Thank you.
What about the orbital, is this a good idea to get Meguiar's Cordless Orbital Buffer? The Porter Cable seems to be too heavy, so I'm afraid to damage the paint.
In the mean time I'll try to find some professional detailer on Long Island.
AlBoston, thank you for quick response. Could you please recommend some brands and types of waxes, something like 'Set for the beginner'.
