Why is my pad 'grabbing'?
I'm presently trying out a machine polisher for the first time, having spent weeks reading various articles on what to do and not what to do to get the best results.
However, I am having the same problem in that my pad is drying up quickly and grabbing the paintwork, making it very hard to buff.
I have done everything as per the guides, including priming the pad with quick detailed, but it still dries up so fast, and I seem to be using a lot of polish to keep it lubricated. ( I therefore have to keep cleaning the pad)
One possible issue is the ambient temperature here at the moment, which is around 45C.
Anything I might be doing wrong, or is the heat just drying the pad up quickly?
Cheers.
