Tiny rust spot

I found a tiny rust spot on my c280. It's on the door. What is the best thing I can do to stop it from getting worse? Thanks.

Depends whether the rust has started on the inside of the panel or the outside. Is it rust from a paint chip, or a bubble that started on the inside? Picture?

Gathered from Paintscratch.com, all traces of rust from the spot should be carefully and thoroughly grinded away by using automotive sandpaper (preferably #36 or similar). For the really tiny rust spots, wrap a piece of sandpaper around the sharpened end of a pencil. Clean the area really good with an anti-rust application, apply rubbing compound to smooth the surface, and follow up with some primer so that paint can adhere properly to the metal.

It's too dark now to take a picture. It is small enough to use the pencil trick. Maybe I'll go try that tomorrow.

Thanks for the replies. It's small, but it drives me crazy knowing it's there.
