wash after claying?

Do I need to wash my car after I do some minor claying in certain spots? I used distilled water as the lubricant. I was just doing some touch up claying to really smooth out some spots I missed the very first time I clayed the car. The car already has a coat of Z1 and Z2.

Is a wash with Z-7 still necessary?

Just wipe it down well with a wet cloth/mico fiber cloth so that no clay or clayed debris reamins. You should be ok.

Only distilled water? Don't see how that would work and there is no lube there. You need a surfactant like soap so the lube sticks to the area you are claying. I would go back and look, it probably left scratches.

In the market
I always use that McGuires Quick Deltaing stuff as lube when I am claying. Seems to work great!
