Sticky stuff after removing tint

So I decided to remove the tint on my 1998 c230...it came off pretty easily, but it left sticky spots all over the place. ANybody know how I can get this off?

Just mix some rubbing alcohol and glass cleaner, such as Windex, and spray onto the leftover adhesive. Let it soak for 5 to 10 minutes. Then re-spray again and use a sharp razor blade to scrape off the goo. AVOID this technique on any glass with defroster lines. Good luck.

you can also use a steamer ( wallpaper or cloths steamer ) It will loosen the glue and will come of by scrapping either with a razor blade or plastic blade. For defroster lines on the rear window use ultra fine (softest grade) steel wool. Try to avoid glass cleaners with amonia in them they can harm your interior. Try Stoner glass spray or Griots Garage, both are alcohol based and will clean up easier.

Thanks...I'll give the rubbing alcohol with window cleaner a spray. The window cleaner I have is ammonia free.

why the change of heart. did you not like the tint?

I'm thinking of tinting my car, but I'm not sure I want the hassle of tinting the front side windows. If I tint the car, do you think it would look funny without tinting the front side windows?

Well i took it off because the tint was that pitch black tint and it was only on the back half of the car. I didn't like how it looked. I bought the car with the tint on it. Tinting all the way around the car except the windshield does look nice. I did 50%(but its actually like 42% or something) on my accord. I believe its the lightest tint you can get. Looks real nice. Just adds a slight tint and also blocks out just as much sun as dark tint would.
