stuff on paint

stuff on paint
hey all,
washing the S, I noticed little black/greyish dots on the paint all over the place. I tried rubbing it, no luck. I tried using bug and tar remover, no luck.
Now, if i gently take my fingernail and pick at it, it will come off after a little while. What could this stuff be and how would I get it all off without having to use my fingernail all over the car :p

Sounds like it could be tar, I've had similar issue with other cars that were parked under a tree. Or sometimes it would show up on the rocker panels as road tar....
Have you tried using a Claybar with any luck? Just dunk in some car soap and rub away...the bar should pick up the stuff, it's worth a shot....

I'm going to get some supplies today...see if i can get some claybar as well. Next time it's nice, i can try that. Never clayed before, but from what the thread on claying says, doesn't look too hard at all.
