What I have noticed...
I was going to school and I noticed a brand new G35, black, with major swirl marks. I bet they were caused from the detailing guys at infiniti because these swirls were crazy. They had to have come from some kind of buffer they used. I felt bad for the lady and my friend also bought a WRX with major swirls right from the dealer. He was pretty stupid for doing that. The car is less than 6 months old...but the paint looks like ****. Just thought I'd express myself. THose detail guys at some of these dealerships suck majorly.

the only thing i let the dealer clean is the wheels. the brake dust is just too much for me to handle on my own. but you are correct, dealers are horrible.

Pookie, try this easy method and avoid dealers
Wheels and Tyres:
·Ensure wheels and rotors are cool before applying cold water as this may cause them to warp. Hose off as much initial grime as you can. Rinse up into the wheel well to wash away road kill, mud and other debris.
·Apply a solution of P21S Total Auto Wash to wheel-wells and tyres, and let soak in, agitate with a long-handled boars haired brush before rinsing
·Spray P21S Gel Wheel Cleaner onto wheel rims and lat soak in. This cleaner is 100% acid-free and will not damage any type of wheel finish. Before finally removing gel, agitate with a brush and then hose off
·Dry wheels with a towel, waxing the surface of the wheels themselves will protect the finish from brake dust and the elements and also making them easier to keep clean.
·Thoroughly hose off tyres and wheel-wells, apply a UV protectant to tyres.

Hahahahah... go look at Jaguar dealer in the tri-state area, I was to 3 dealers and EVERY single Black car had...... lets not talk about swirl marks, lets talk about BURNING thru the paint finish especially around the door handles and mouldings and door edges!!
I had to go for another color than black (Metallic), I told the dealer "DONT EVEN THINK ABOUT HAVING YOUR DETAILING GUY TOUCH MY CAR!!" What a shame.
As for the benz, my black car is much better.....
