to clean the fabric piece around your door sill
Get a terry cloth wet..
pour a little simple green in it while holding it in your hand.
squeeze it all together as if mixing the water and simple green solution at the same time.
ring it out some what so you dont drench your car...
then clean away, it takes out the most stubborn crap in that nice fabric that MB likes to put where you run your shoes across....

Oxyclean
I've used oxyclean on that little strip of fabric (as well as the interior carpeting). It makes stains--even nasty black grease stains--just disappear with a few wipes! Plus, you don't have to worry about chemical buildup since the oxyclean is really just oxygen that will evaporate away.

It's a Gas
It's not liquid oxygen. It is gas oxygen. The hot water makes the chemicals in oxyclean produce gas oxygen that bubbles out of the liquid (kind of like soda water). You don't have to rinse oxyclean out.
