DIY Scratch Remedy
I pop into these forums every once in a while since I got my 2015 C300 4matic (Palladium Silver). I've loved it so much, my next car may be E63 AMG.
I live in NYC, and so I sort of expected that I would get a lot of bumps and scratches on my car. In the two years I've had it, i've been hit twice while the car was parked on the streets, 8k and 3k of damages each time! Such is life in manhattan.
Recently I was in a parking garage and scraped up against a metal railing that scratched my fender as seen in the picture. The resulting scratch feels deep to touch, like it gouged into a deeper layer than the paint.
Not looking to get a perfect solution, I don't get bothered by most imperfections that the car has accumulated. Im essentially treating this as a beater for now... Just looking for a cheap DIY fix (if it is out there). I'm thinking some type of sanding, then some type of pen?
Thanks!
