MB E-CLASS W213 - HEADLIGHT LENS

Does anyone know if the headlight lenses for a W213 E class are plastic? Mine have some mild road debris type damage on them. I was wondering if it can be sanded and buffed out?

yes but your will remove the protective layer, I believe prevent discoloration (turn yellow faster)

sandwith 1000 or 2000 grit and then use compounds and polish to remove scratches and discolor..

then clean with paint shop degreaser that does not harm plastic...

Tape it up
paint lens with automotive clearcoat.... (protects against yellowing as it is like sunscreen.)

I used a Meguiars headlight restoration kit on the headlights on my 22 year old F150 and my son's 07 Fusion and am quite happy with the results.
