I had new factory glass installed after it became so pitted. Mr. Pilkington seems kind of soft for glass but I'm sure that's for safety.
We have some trees on the street that spew micro beaded tree sap. I use a micro fiber towel with MeGuiars gold to clean it but it not easy to get the sap off.
I've thought about using a sealant such as Griot's Garage but have read issues of wipers skipping.
Q 1. Is using a sealant a bad idea?
Q 2. What do You recommend for Glass Cleaner. I'm using invisible glass.
Thoughts?

what do you want sealant for? keep stuff from sticking like tree sap?
Park somewhere else is about only thing for that.
Then find better method for removing sap like goo gone or WD40 etc etc need a solvent

I would like another layer of protection against bugs, sap, pitting if possible.
I suppose pitting is more likely with highway driving? I dunno maybe not.
Pitting is from sand and other small debris you run into while driving.
Cannot be stopped unless you add tear aways like in nascar.

Anything to buff out scratches? I suppose I should just go back to the glass shop. It's probably covered.
