Hi guys first post here
so i found a swirly scratch on the bonnet of the car and got paranoid used scratch remover and used polish which i shouldnt have and now that area is got a little shine. What would be the best method of removing the shine.

Anything that removes wax...You can start with alcohol....
If you actually polished the (matte) clear coat (eg: with a buffer or by hand with a cutting polish), you cannot return it to a matte finish short of respraying the entire panel.
You can't use any type of polish on matte paint to remove scratches. Scratch removers are a fine polish, and they ruin matte paint by polishing the clear coat. As said above, you gonna have to have that hood repainted. This is one of the issues with Magno paint. You really have to PPF the whole car, because any paint damage pretty much requires repainting the panels and potentially the whole car as Magno paint is next to impossible to blend with the other panels.
Try to find a piece of xpel stealth or any other matte ppf and put a piece of film on polished area. I think 99% it will hide all that polished area and 50% of that scratch. If that works u can just PPF front of the car but better the whole car.
