Paint chips in GLC Trunk
Got these couple of paint scratches / chips in my Trunk, while lifting the trunk door somehow the programmed height was deleted and the trunk door hit my garage opener. I took it to the Benz dealer and they are asking 700$ + to repaint the entire trunk door, a local body shop also was not confident they could fix this on the cheap. Do you think I can use touch-point paint to make it any better?
Else I am going to put a small decal to cover it - please let me know what you all think.
I had a similar paint gouge on the hood of my car from the dealership dropping a tool on it. The damage was down to the bare metal. I was able to get it 90% back to how it was and I barely see it anymore.
I recommend the Dr. Colorchip kit. For my metallic silver color, they color matched it extremely well...
Full respray only way to properly fix....
SO up to you and what you expect
Is the GLC a tool or a Art?
Tool = touch-up paint.
Art = Respray and open wallet.
