Stubborn Sticker Removal
I have rotated my wheels to repair a scuffed rim. The spare on '99 E55 has black sticker advising speed limit of 80KMH's with wheel because of stagger and directional tyres. I have tried pulling it off, but it does not peel. Using my finger nail I can only break off tiny bits at a time. Any suggestions would be welcome that will not damage the clear coat of the rim.

That sticker is a ROYAL pain in the rear. The only thing I can suggest is to keep working on it a little at a time and use some WD40 or googone to remove the sticky substance it leaves behind.
I have never been able to get one of those stickers off in anything under 700 pieces.

Googone is a great product, I use it a lot, but never on a car. It should work and leave a nice citrus smell too! The only disadvantage is that is stains certain porous surfaces. Denatured alcohol also works, especially on those nasty airbag warning stickers on the inside.

Thanks for the tips. I ended up using a razor blade, WD40 and Maguirs Scratch X to get all of the residue off. That was one stubborn sticker!
